Fátima / Batalha / Nazaré / Óbidos

Enjoy Fátima Sanctuary, the main religious spot in Portugal, the gothic Monastery of Batalha, the fishing town of Nazaré, where you have the biggest waves in the world, and the medieval town of Óbidos.

Starting in Fátima Sanctuary you will get to know the history of the Apparitions of Fátima, visit the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima and the Basilica of the Most Holy Trinity. You will have time for prayer and light a candle.

You'll then head to Batalha town to visit the predominantly gothic Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, listed by UNESCO as World Heritage.

On our way to the Atlantic West Coast, you will see the biggest pine tree field in Portugal, right before we arrive at Nazaré, a fisherman’s village and a famous surf spot, where you can find the biggest waves in the world. Here the fish is king and it’s time to lunch. You got the opportunity to eat a nice grilled fish that was captured in the morning.

Our journey continues south to Óbidos, a medieval village from XII century, inside the castle walls, where you can find a lot of handcraft stores mixed with churches and charming guest houses. Taste the famous "ginjinha" of Óbidos, a cherry-liqueur served in a chocolate cup.

It’s time to return Lisbon.
